How to Access Your Thumb Drive on an Apple Computer
If you have an Apple computer, hereโs how to access the thumb drive or external drive we provided to you.
First, insert the drive into your computer. On most modern Apple devices, including Macs and MacBooks, the thumb drive will appear on your desktop after a few seconds. We typically label the drive either as "FAMILY" or with your last name, depending on the circumstances.
To access your files, simply click on the drive to open it.
We usually organize the contents first by media type and then into subfolders, though this structure may vary depending on your specific project.
Alternatively, you can use the Apple โFinderโ program to locate the drive. Finder is typically found in the bottom-left corner of your screen. Open Finder, and the drive should appear on the left-hand side of the Finder window under the list of connected devices. From there, you can easily browse through your files.
